Should I make a colored pencil tutorial?

These days it's a somewhat unusual medium to pursue long-term, but I love colored pencils and would like to show people how to get good results with them.

I have a few pieces that are nearing the coloring stage, and will get a new scanner soon, so the opportunity is there. But making a tutorial takes a while, so do you think enough people will read it to make it worthwhile?

Any input is greatly appreciated.

And I am done with college apps! YESSS! And I'm done with my last season of marching band. ;____; It was a good one.

Thanks for the watch!

Delve back into your memory please! I am writing a college essay, and am trying to make sure I'm getting the facts right.

DYWC. We each got to take an elective. How long were the electives each day? I was in the dance elective. Do you remember our dance at the talent show at all? Did we perform well; did we almost win?
:iconpyroaurah:
To be honest, I don't remember, but here is a link to the schedule: [link]

Electives seem to be 2 hours, but please double check that figure.

I don't remember you taking dance (beyond your obnoxious "dance, asparagus, dance" song). Maybe it was the year before I went, or maybe my memory is being crap again. Sorry. T_T

Ooh, I'm really liking physics! I mean, I'm not exactly very good at it. xD But I'm really enjoying it. This may be because of my freakin' awesome teacher, WHO WAS ALMOST AN ASTRONAUT. AND HAS A FREEZER FULL OF BACON IN HIS BACK ROOM. I HAVE NO IDEA. <3 Though it is HARD sometimes. We had a projectile motion webassign... 28/37, and that was with ten hours spent on it. 0__0

I have a legitimate chance of getting into Chicago, but it's a very slim one. And that's only with early decision. We'll see. :/ *hopehopehope* And, bwahah, gang problem? Pffft. My school... in the last year we had a shooting, at least three muggings, and one 'gang altercation' involving over 20 people and a knife. I actually day dreamed about if I went to Chicago... and realized I'd carry pepper spray and a rape whistle. xD;

My dad mentioned Johns Hopkins as a possibility, and I may still apply to it via normal-decision. I haven't really looked into it much, but apparently their writing/lit department is hurting real bad for students, since everyone goes there for the science. He said, so he heard, that if you apply there as interested in lit, you'd have a step up, and then could always go for the science after you're accepted.

Hmm... what will I miss about home when I'm FINALLY IN COLLEGE OH GODS WHY AM I NOT ALREADY? I like just about any food, so I do not anticipate cafeteria problems... I'll miss my parents, of course, but that does not in any way diminish BEING IN COLLEGE. GAAH. SO CLOSE.

Okay, I also really really love my school at moments like this. Our underground spirit week is freaking amazing. Monday was pokepajama day. Today was superhero/villain day. Tomorrow is MUSTACHE DAY. I am quite excited for tomorrow, especially because I'm a boss in our newest round of Sock Assassin. I get to kill people with spoooons~ xD Stuff like this makes school totally worth it.

I've heard Penn is really great. And UCF's library sounds amazing. :D Remember Duke's? I loved that one.
:iconsepik:
DUDE

THAT WOULD BE THE MOST AMAZING THING EVER if we ended up at the same college. :D

I am SO behind, it feels, on college stuff. Also, wow, that IS a beast SAT score. :D Mine is in the 2100 range, so that's nice enough, but still. Awesome!

Right now I'm just trying to stay afloat amidst physics and marching band. xD Darn you, college! I just want to be in already.

Also, just for the record, UNC Chapel Hill has an EXTREMELY annoying and confusing application. >> Just saying.

So what is your absolute dream school? Is it still Duke? You could totally get scholarships for there. I bet you can get in.

Also, though, most importantly. CAN YOU BELIEVE IT? THE TIME HAS ALMOST COME. WE ARE ALMOST IN COLLEGE. WE ARE ALMOST AWAY FROM HOME. I go through an annoying day now, and all I think is, "Why am I not in college?" Oh, the oncoming senioritis, I can feel it in my bones.
:iconpyroaurah:
Being at the same college would be pretty sweet. :)

And it feels like I'm a bit behind on college stuff, too, even though I have some time.

And %(#$ physics. I hate it. I hate it so much. It's all meaningless numbers to me, like someone pulled them out of thin air. I actually understood how the chemistry equations applied to the situations, and had a solid grasp of both the concepts and the concept-equation interplay in chemistry, but physics... I have no clue. It all goes over my head, just like those $*^% projectile motion problems (I and many, many others got Ds 0_o).

Urgh. Truth be told, senioritis slammed into me halfway through LAST YEAR. And I had to COME BACK TO SCHOOL. Every single day, I think "May 14th" (graduation day) and can't wait. I don't care if I learn anything this year - which I probably won't - I just want out. Like, right this instant. Anybody have a time machine?

Good luck with your UNC application. I didn't even give it a go. The only way for me to pay would have been with the Morehead-Cain full ride scholarship, which is a crapshoot at best, and I learned about the labor-intensive scholarship only about 3-4 days before it was do, so I said, "screw this, I have other colleges higher up on the list."

My dream school... Urgh. I'll really be able to determine well after I've made campus visits. I've been to UCF twice, once to spend the day researching in their freaking amazing library (and being shocked that my AP Chem knowledge let me read and semi-easily comprehend entire books of non-dumbed-down professional research papers). I really love the campus, and even better, UCF is the backup college that already accepted me and offered me the third full ride. I worked a bit on the easier honors college paperwork today, and hope to finish it before the end of the month (though I know I'll procrastinate and never come close to that "goal").

Back to the dream school. I'd really like to go to one of the ivies (UPenn and Columbia) that I'm applying to because I'm hoping to do undergrad research. However, Uni of Chicago is also pretty high on the list, despite the cost, though my mother is concerned about the gang problem in the city right now. Apparently, when my father posted my resume and the colleges I'm looking at on collegeconfidential, a couple people said "creative writing and science? Definitely a University of Chicago student." So I'm hopeful. And the campus photos are gorgeous. I have a soft spot for old stone, ivy-covered architecture.

And I'm completely with you - can't wait to bust this joint. The only thing that will disappoint me is the loss of room space and fewer fish tanks (I'll probably only be able to bring my 5 gallon, and will have to ditch the 10-gallon-soon-to-be-transferred-to-a-20-gallon at home until I get into an apartment).

How are you feeling about getting into the University of Chicago? And have you considered Johns Hopkins? Mrs. Alv. said it would be a good fit for me, and therefore, probably you, too.

Bwahahah, they're not really going, since my courses and marching band are currently taking up all my time. I have my commonapp essay done, at least.

I'm applying to only two schools early-decision, and I'm not sure about what else. My dream school is University of Chicago (still trying to write that essay, aaaah). My chances of getting in are very low. My chances of getting in and getting a huge amount of scholarships are even lower. Ah well. My plan, really, is to go to UNC Chapel Hill. I feel very confident I can get in.

I should be applying to more schools, but it's like, if I don't get into my dream school, then there's no reason to go anywhere besides UNC Chapel Hill for undergrad. It's one of the top schools of the country, and it's cheap.
